Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public access to many government records, but Breathitt County records do not all sit in one office. Court case files, dockets, traffic cases, divorce files, misdemeanor cases, felony cases, and probate filings start with the Office of Circuit Court Clerk at the Breathitt County Justice Center. The Breathitt County Clerk handles county records such as deeds, mortgages, marriage licenses, liens, motor vehicles, notary filings, and eCCLIX property-record searches. Sheriff, jailer, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Department of Corrections, and Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics records each follow a different path. This site organizes those routes so the right public office is easier to identify.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
